Story

Founded in 2025 by Leroy Jones, the Oakland Ducks Semi-Professional Football Organization was built with a purpose greater than wins and losses. From day one, the Ducks were created to be a platform for growth—on the field, in the community, and in the lives of the men who wear the uniform.

The Oakland Ducks are rooted in three core pillars: Teamwork, Community, and Leadership Development.

Teamwork is the foundation of everything we do, emphasizing unity, accountability, and trust among players, coaches, and staff. We believe success is achieved together, through shared effort and mutual respect.

Community is at the heart of the Ducks’ identity. We are proud to represent the City of Oakland and are committed to giving back through youth engagement, local partnerships, and community service. Our players understand that they are not only athletes, but ambassadors—role models who have a responsibility to uplift and inspire the next generation.

Leadership Development defines our long-term vision. The Oakland Ducks are committed to preparing players for life beyond football by fostering discipline, confidence, and leadership skills that translate into careers, families, and community leadership. We strive to develop men of character who lead by example both on and off the field.
